Where your data is kept
Projects, the pictures in them and your own palettes are stored locally on your device. Image processing happens there too.
If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive turned on, Rasterwerk keeps a copy of this data in your private iCloud so that it appears on your other devices. The developer has no access to it. iCloud is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Permissions
- Camera: only when you take a photo for a project. The photo is stored only in that project.
- Photos: you choose pictures in the system picker. The app receives only the picture you chose.
Purchases
The in-app purchase “Rasterwerk Plus” is handled entirely by Apple. The developer receives no payment details and no data that could identify you, only sales statistics from Apple.
Crash and usage data from Apple
If you agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides the developer with anonymised crash reports and usage figures. You can change this there at any time. The app itself sends none of this.
When you pass data on
Exported PDF and PNG files, project files and palettes leave your device only when you share or save them yourself. You decide who receives them.
Deleting your data
You delete projects and your own palettes in the app. This also applies to your other devices synced through iCloud. Removing the app deletes the local data. You remove data in iCloud in your device's iCloud settings.
This website
This website is static. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics services and loads no third-party content; even the typeface is served from this server.
Each visit creates the server log data needed for technical reasons, such as IP address, time, file requested and browser type. It is used to deliver and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, under a data processing agreement.
Support requests
If you send an email, your address and the details in your message are used only to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and are deleted once they are no longer needed for that.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also complain to a data protection authority. As the app does not send data to the developer, in practice this concerns only the server logs and your emails.
